KitEngine is my custom game engine I've been writing since June 2023. Going in I didn't know an ounce of C++, OpenGL, or Vulkan.
Despite being a (mostly) game-ready Vulkan engine; the Visual Studio project still refers to it internally as "OpenGLTest"
As of 4/13/26 the engine is 46,305 lines of code! All hand written (I can't believe this is actually a bragging point).
It mirrors the ENTIRE game vanilla map. The WHOLE thing. EVERY map. You don't understand how many times I have to CTRL + C and CTRL + V my keyboard is FUCKED please send help. No downpour maps though you're on your own there.
I'm making a Rain World Map Viewer in my custom engine called the KitEngine made THOROUGHLY in C++ because FUCK ME. WHO EVEN WROTE THIS LANGUAGE? The FUCK is a mixin?!
It allows you to view entire Rain World maps in real time so you too can create enjoyable levels like SPAWNING 10 THOUSAND CYAN LIZARDS in front of your ONE SHELTER. WHO EVEN THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD FUCKING IDEA.
Anyway, it's updated like whenever, because I'm a lazy bitch uwu.
I do enjoy Opus Magnum, it's a very chill and easy game.
I love writing software in a mixture of high level C++ and what basically looks like raw C. I fucking HATE smart pointers; I'm an adult, I can manage heap lifetimes myself. I am a stronger person because of it.
I'm a bit of a gamer, a 'gamuh' as one dude's mom put it. I love a wild assortment of games such as Rimworld, Rain World, Deep Rock Galactic, Factorio, Mewgenics (though it's way too hard for me), and Megabonk. There's probably a few dozen I'm forgetting about.
I used to be an artist or something, but I have since lost my passion for it (turns out it's easier to just throw money at artists who are way better than me)
I love talking to my friends about random bullshit. I would be sad and lonely without them, and also have a much higher productivity average at work.
